According to lauded tipster Evan Blass, the iPad Mini 5 will hit the store shelves in company with other products from the Cupertino-based tech firm in early September, which will include the iPhone 7 and its variants.
Rumors are running rampant that the imminent iPad Mini will be comparatively thinner than last gen's iPad Mini 4 which was 6.1mm in thickness. The upcoming svelte model will only be 5mm thin. This could be a clear indication that the 3.5mm jack will be ousted from the imminent iPad Mini model.

The much-awaited iPad Mini 5 will come with iOS 10 pre-installed, and this will definitely add an array of new features as well as some modifications to the interface design.
The inclusion of iOS 10 could pave the way for quite a few rumored features including Dark Mode. A way of using an iOS device, in this case the iPad Mini 5 with a dark background contrary to the conventional white background found on new devices.
