"Suicide Squad" earned $161 million of revenue in five days after being critically rated by fans. This number buries "X-Men Apocalypse" which only made $157 million. It also went one million dollars behind the top comic book "Batman: Returns."

"Suicide Squad" had set a record of the biggest Monday gross in the month of August, Forbes reported. In addition, its Tuesday record also marked the biggest gross in the same month. The movie clearly made quite an impact in the theaters and with the wave of revenue it generated over the weekend, it did not at all perform badly.

"Suicide Squad" was launched after DC experienced a crash with "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice." Because of this, critics did not expect that the film will perform well even after the all-star cast of the film promised it will be a massive blockbuster. The movie casts famous Hollywood stars, including Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and more.

Meanwhile, the "Suicide Squad" movie team is reportedly looking at a $300 million sales to at least go alongside other box office movies such as "The Secret Life of Pets," Comic Book Resources reported. "Suicide Squad" has reportedly beaten the sales of Marvel's "Deadpool" for an opening weekend margin. Additionally, it has also surpassed "Guardians of the Galaxy" for its opening weekend this month.

"Suicide Squad" is a movie about a task force composed of heavy hitting criminal meta human villains that have proven to be useful assets to the government. Their faction is labelled as Task Force X and led by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis).

The government formed the "Suicide Squad" to take on challenges in order for them to take no responsibilities in case things will not go as planned because the Task Force X members are officially villains. Watch the "Suicide Squad" official trailer here.
