"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" released a 15-second long teaser. It showed a whole new image of the U-Wing, AT-ATs and Jyn Erso's fight, and Chirrut Imwe killing a number of Stormtroopers.

The "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" full trailer will come out on Aug. 11, Thursday during the Rio Olympics' coverage by NBC, IGN reported.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" added a new character as confirmed by the production. Senator Bail Organa of Alderaan, the adoptive father of Leia Organa is expected to be seen in the upcoming movie.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is a standalone film about the story of the Rebels who stole the plans of the Death Star. Considering the plot of the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," it has also been reported that Darth Vader will have a role in the film.

Jimmy Smits' interview with The Talk had no direct confirmation if he will have a major role in the upcoming "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" movie. However, he later admitted that he will play the role as Senator Bail Organa, Empire reported.

Smits told that people have nothing to do better than to look at small things. He said that there are a lot of stuff going on in the world to focus on. He also added statements as an indirect confirmation of his cameo role in the movie saying, "Can you say the word 'cameo'? Can you say the words 'small part?"

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" also casts Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker. The new Star War spin-off movie will also feature a new planet Jedha which will be home for Chirrut Imwe, a character played by Donnie Yen.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" tells about a story of resistance fighters who have united for the goal of stealing plans from the Death Star. It is directed by Gareth Edwards and its screenplay is written by Chris Weitz. The movie will premiere on Dec. 15 in Australia and Dec. 16 in New Zealand, United Kingdom, and North America.
