"Darksiders" Warmastered Edition Gameplay

"Darksiders" is a fusion of classic "Zelda" tropes, RPG elements and the "God of Warseries" combat. In the game, the player assumes the role of one the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse War and battle against the forces of Heaven and Hell across the ravaged Earth.

In 2010, "Darksiders: Wrath of War" was initially released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which was published by the now defunct THQ. It spawned a sequel, "Darksiders II," where the role of a different horseman, Death, was introduced.

"Darksiders II" has also been remastered for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The remastered version was named "The Darksiders 2" Deathinitive Edition, which was released on October 2015, Polygon reported.

However, the franchise was sold off with the rest of THQ's assets in 2013 as they filed for bankruptcy, Engadget reported. Nordic Games then acquired publishing rights to the "Darksiders" franchise in the same year.

"Darksiders" Warmastered Edition will launch on Oct. 25. The price point is reportedly $19.99 USD/£14.99. Watch the video announcement here.
