Fresh off their Iron Bowl victory over Auburn (20), the Alabama Crimson Tide (1) has replaced still-undefeated Florida State (2) at the top of the AP College Football Poll.

In week 15 of the rankings, one week before the conference championships, the Tide received four less first-place votes, but edged the Seminoles by just three points overall. Florida State came from behind once again to beat Florida, but they are still undefeated for the second season in a row.

Now the Seminoles must play Georgia Tech for the ACC Championship, a conference foe they did not play in the regular season.

On the rise was TCU (4), who moved up two spots after beating Texas. Since the Big 12 does not have a title game, the conference will come down to two games next Saturday. Kansas State (9) will visit Baylor (5) while TCU plays Iowa State. Amidst a three-way tie for the lead, Baylor can clinch the conference if they win, as they have already beaten TCU head-to-head. TCU would have to win and hope for a Kansas State win, whereas the latter would have to win and hope for the former to lose.

The Pac-12 is far more straightforward, as Arizona (8) clinched the Southern division and will take on Oregon (3) for the conference title. The Wildcats won the division thanks to Stanford's upset win over UCLA (16), a team that only had to win. The Pac-12 Champion figures to earn a trip to the inaugural College Football Playoff (CFP).

Though Ohio State (6) beat Michigan and earned their spot in the Big Ten title game, they lost quarterback J.T. Barrett to a season-ending ankle injury. Barrett was playing this season to replace Braxton Miller, so now the Buckeyes' CFP hopes fall on Cardale Jones.
