Billy Donovan is likely going to be one of the most highly sought after college basketball coaches, but he has insisted he is staying at the University of Florida.

Sources told ESPN the Cleveland Cavaliers have reached out to Donovan and the Gators' coach said there have been other pro teams. He did not say which teams, but the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks are among teams with a coaching vacancy.

Unnamed sourced had previously told ESPN LA the Lakers are planning to "make a splash" with their next head coach in the wake of Mike D'Antoni's resignation.

Last month, sources told Yahoo Sports Donovan would join Iowa State's Fred Hoiberg and Michigan State's Tom Izzo as prime candidates to make the jump from college to the NBA.

"I have spoken to a couple NBA teams, and that's all I'm going to say," Donovan told ESPN Friday. "It's always flattering, but at the same time, I've always said that I'm very happy here and like it here."

The Cavaliers reportedly inquired about Kevin Ollie, who just agreed to a new five-year contract worth $15 million to keep him at UConn. In late April Izzo told ESPN's Andy Katz he will be returning to Michigan State for next season, but that he would not rule out a potential future NBA job.

In 2007, Donovan accepted the head coaching job of the Orlando Magic, but before he was officially announced, he backed out and returned to Florida. For that reason, he said he would rather keep job negotiations private.

Donovan has won two National Championships with the Gators in his 18-year career at Florida and also made the Final Four four times.

Donovan said he is always flattered to hear his name mentioned in NBA coaching rumors but insisted he is "very happy here and like it here."
