KGI Securities analyst Kuo stated that the dual camera setup of Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8 will serve as the phablet's most important upgrade. The analyst goes so far as to say that Samsung Galaxy Note 8's dual camera will be much better compared to the one on the iPhone 7 Plus and will likely compete with the upcoming organic light-emitting diode (OLED) iPhone, 9 to 5 Google reported.
What makes the camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 stand out is that it will boast a 12MP wide-angle CIS with dual photodiode (2PD) support, dual 6P lenses, dual optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13MP telephoto CIS and a 3x optical zoom. Nonetheless, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 8 is said to feature Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor (with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM), S-Pen, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, a fingerprint sensor on the back, a 6.5-inch display with QHD resolution and SuperAMOLED panel, PC Tablet reported.
The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to include the tech giant's latest biometrics options, such as facial recognition and iris scanning. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also expected to come along with Samsung's brand-new intelligent assistant, Bixby. But, it is very likely that the forthcoming Samsung phablet will ditch the headphone jack.
As far as the release date of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is concerned, the upcoming Samsung device might be unveiled in the second half of 2017. In spite of that, the South Korean tech company has yet to officially announce the specs, release date or price of the Galaxy Note 8.
