Bungie To Share Even More Exciting News, 'Destiny 2' Expansion Pass To Focus On Osiris & Rasputin
ByBungie may have been announced the release date for the upcoming first-person shooter game "Destiny 2," but that does not mean that the studio will be finished with the original Destiny game and once the Age of Triumph expansion DLC comes to an end. Latest reports said that there's, even more, news coming for Destiny fans this year.
In a recent conversation with Games Radar, Bungie has told the gaming-focused site that the original Destiny game is still a game and that the studio still has plans to support the original game for the foreseeable future. This means that Bungie will keep the Destiny servers running and continue to release small updates even the game's last expansion DLC, the "Age of Triumph," comes to an end, The Express reported.
Bungie has also added that its giving Destiny players lots of option here, players can now decide to which games it want to play. Players can move to the new world "Destiny 2" to experience new adventures and new features. And if they decide to revisit the things that they did in the original Destiny game, the original first-person shooter game will still be there for them.
In other Destiny-related news, Bungie has already shared some further details on when the two announced pieces of expansion DLC will be released. Bungie's upcoming space adventure has recently revealed to the world alongside an epic trailer and some important details about the planned two expansion DLC.
Latest reports said that the upcoming expansion DLC will be arriving sometime between late 2017 and early 2018. It will be offering brand new story missions, competitive multiplayer, new weapons, new armor, new gear and cooperative activities on board "Destiny 2."
In another Destiny-related stories, the Washington-based game studio has already shared the first details of the much-awaited "Destiny 2" Expansion Pass. Based on the logo in the newly released "Destiny 2" image, there currently two expansions that are part of the pass. To the left is an eye with a yellow background, the banner of Osiris, while on the right with the blue background is the much-talked Rasputin.
For a starter, Osiris is a legendary warrior within the world Destiny and has not appeared in a mission before, while Rasputin is the only complex AI left over from before "The Darkness" arrived in the game. Rasputin also has been the focus of previous story missions like "Siege of the Warmind," so perhaps the upcoming expansion will give Rasputin some kind of screenplay, Fandom reported.
As for the release date, there still no word yet on the two expansions. Rumors are rife in the gaming world that Bungie will likely repeat the previous Destiny 1's timeframe with the expansion's roll out, especially since "Destiny 2" will be launching in early September of this year. Stay tuned folks for more "Destiny 2" updates.
