Microsoft's next-gen console Xbox Project Scorpio is getting some big show this week. Microsoft this week announced plans to show off Project Scorpio's 4K gaming capabilities. In doing these, the software company has picked two high-profile gaming titles.

Rockstar Games' upcoming action adventure game "Red Dead Redemption 2" and PlayGround Games' "Forza Motorsport 7" will be joining the software company this week in showing off the Scorpio's 4K capability. The Redmond-based software company will be reading the popular racing video game "Forza Motorsport 7" for the upcoming gaming console Xbox Project Scorpio in the next few weeks. Reports said that racing title looks "utterly stunning" in the true 4K.

The 4K gaming news comes from marketing materials that include titles Microsoft wants to use to exemplify Scorpio's amazing six-teraflops computer power along with its 4K capabilities. As reported earlier by multiple websites, Microsoft's next-gen gaming console sports will be featuring an amazing 8-core CPU that capable of 6 teraflops of immense computing power. That's about 4.5 times as powerful as the previous console, the Xbox One. In addition, to supporting for true 4K gaming and virtual reality, Microsoft has also announced that Project Scorpio will be supporting 4K Blu-ray, something that the big software company was quick to point out when it was revealed recently that Sony's PS4 Pro wouldn't support 4K Blu-ray.

As for the full specs and additional information, Microsoft has yet to decide if it will show more details of Xbox Project Scorpio on the big E3 2017 event, which slated to take place this coming June. Last February, Microsoft announced at a press event that the company's upcoming E3 event will be moving on Sunday, instead of the traditional first Monday of the event.

Microsoft is expected to reveal more about the gaming console at the upcoming E3 event on June. Xbox chief Phil Spencer recently shared on Twitter that he want to give its games more time at E3 event.
