Microsoft Shares New Details About Xbox Project Scorpio, To Bring Extreme Gaming And Exclusive Games
ByMicrosoft Xbox head Phil Spencer has some big news for the gaming world. In Twitter, the Xbox chief made a huge announcement about the upcoming Xbox Project Scorpio, which expected to get some big reveal at the upcoming E3 event this June. The Redmond-based company made the big announcement this week.
Latest reports said that the Redmond-based software company will be providing more details about the upcoming game console Xbox: Project Scorpio at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, which will take place this coming June 2017 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The company will be hosting a press conference on that big event and details about the console and Xbox games will likely be provided there.
As mentioned earlier on GameSpot, the Xbox chief has just shared on Twitter, saying that the crowd can expect more from Microsoft during the big gaming event. Based on the Xbox chief's recent comment, Microsoft may hold an event dedicated to the upcoming game console, Xbox Project Scorpio. However, Microsoft made some last-minute change in the company's E3 event. Its E3 2017 event schedule has been changed and moved on the afternoon of Sunday, June 11. The change is quite intriguing because Microsoft historically holds its big presentation on the Monday of the big E3 event.
When launched, Microsoft's Xbox Project Scorpio will become the most powerful game console in the market. It will have capabilities that go beyond that of the Xbox One and even its next-gen competitors, PlayStation 4. However, this next-generation game console comes with a hefty premium price tag, probably the most expensive game console ever built.
The Xbox Project Scorpio, which due to launch this coming holiday, will feature a top of the line AMD processor- probably from the new Ryzen line. The processor alone could costs from $350 to $450, a price point considerably higher than the previous Microsoft's game console. As mentioned earlier by the UK-based publication The Express, the upcoming game machine would also feature a whopping 6 Teraflops of graphical processing power, support for true 4K gaming experience and high-fidelity VR technology. Microsoft is also making the new console compatible with all of the Xbox One games.
In addition to the new details about the upcoming Xbox Scorpio, Microsoft would likely make an announcement at E3 about the exclusive games that will be released together with Xbox: Project Scorpio. According to The Express, the Xbox Division Head has recently made a comment that it's crucial for them to have first-party games ready when the console launches. However, the company hasn't provided much information about what exclusive games will be launched alongside the game console.
Microsoft also has not made any further comment about the Xbox Project Scorpio reveal date. The next-generation game console was first revealed by Microsoft at last year's E3 gaming event, but nothing has been seen or heard of it since.
Finally, Microsoft has made a pre-order page on its Microsoft Store for Xbox: Project Scorpio, which said to provide more details about the latest update console, including the updated lists of the Xbox One games compatible with the new gaming console.
