inXile executive Brian Fargo plans to retire after their upcoming video game, "Wasteland 3," launches in the near future. One of the contents of the upcoming video game is currently under development.

Relaxation after launching

Fargo revealed to Eurogamer in an exclusive interview that he plans to retire after releasing their upcoming video game in 2019. He said that he wanted to relax after a long career of making very successful video games through the years.

Two of inXile's games were both successful, which Fargo was proud of. He also said that two more of their games produced great success after a while like "The Mage's Tale," and "The Bard's Tale 4," which is why he thinks that it is a good time to retire after one more game. He also said that he has a lot of time before his retirement from the industry.

Confident with his people

Fargo said that he is really confident with his people who make things happen in their gaming company. He described them as competent individuals with great talent for the video game industry. He revealed that they were the ones who gave Blizzard and BioWare their first shots.

The executive revealed that his own guys are in tune into these products. He is confident with his abilities in finding these types of people and putting the talent together. He has also been training them for years to make him obsolete because that is what a leader of a company should do.

Leaving inXile with money in the bank

Fargo has complete trust with inXile after leaving because he knows it is a profitable independent game developer with a good amount of funds. He also revealed that they do not owe money to any external people. As long as it continues in making better products, then it should be fine, he said.

Going to Machu Picchu

After Fargo retires, he is planning to go to other places in the world, particularly in Machu Picchu. He hopes that he will be unplugged from the industry after he retires.
