The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is highly anticipated after a year of waiting because it is from Microsoft which will reportedly bring innovations like a 4K UltraHD resolution and the power of the AMD Ryzen chips. It is expected to follow the October launch cycle though the folks at Redmond may give consumers a surprise unveiling in April after the release of the Windows 10 Creators Update.

The rumor mills have been churning non-stop about the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and the reports are favorable to the consumers. The latest of which supports a Microsoft and AMD partnership to finally resolve the battery draining issues reported with the Surface Pro 4. Previous reports state that the Redmond-based giant may opt for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 chipset to resolve the high power consumption associated with the Intel Kaby Lake processor. Then AMD Ryzen 7 CPUs were launched recently boasting of high performance and energy efficiency that fits what the latest Surface Pro product needs.

Microsoft is also aiming for the best possible resolution with a 4K UltraHD display capable of running videos and games in great detail, according to Express Online. The new product will come in 2 display models, though, the 2K and the 4K. It will keep the 12.3-inch form factor and lightweight aluminum body but it comes with a few substantial upgrades not only with a beefier processor. It will feature a Surface Pen stylus that is smarter than its predecessor and can be charged wirelessly or more aptly, magnetically though it can also be powered by a single AAAA battery.

Though the Surface Pro 4's USB 3.0 back in October 2015 was not an issue, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to go for USB Type-C this time. Additional USB slotting brings an array of convenience so it will also be advantageous for Microsoft to throw in Thunderbolt 3, according to LearnBonds. The manufacturing is once again granted to Pegatron who also built the Apple Mac killer, the Surface Studio with its innovations that remain unmatched. The 27-inch touchscreen display also supports a Surface Pen and a new Surface Dial where the display can transition into a digital drafting desk suited for creative and professional use.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has been rumored to arrive just after the release of the Windows 10 Creators Update this fall. Logic says that Microsoft will need a product to showcase its latest Windows Operating System. However, observers say that the Redmond-based giant will stick to an October launch cycle as seen in its predecessor.
