The hype created for iPad Pro 2 doesn't seem to sum up of what's to come for the hotly anticipated tablet for 2017 because reports suggest that the device would feature just minor upgrades from the previous iteration. For this reason, Apple is reportedly consider a redesign that could possibly hamper the release date timeline for the new iPads.

iPad Pro 2 Has No Attractive Selling Points

For the past few months, rumors suggesting that Apple will release three models of iPad Pro 2 for this year which includes 12.9-inch, 10.5-inch and 9.7-inch. And among the three, the smallest one has the highest chances to be unveiled on March.

In relation to that, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 is expected to overcome the bland performance of the previous versions, however, it seems like it won't be the case. According to 9 to 5 Mac, the 2017 iteration of iPad Pro 2 could sport minor upgrades with features mostly similar to the previous models.

When it comes to under the hood specs, a processor bump is highly expected from A9X to A10X chipsets for CPU and graphics performance boosts. Aside from that, no other major upgrades have been reported; thus, the Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil is expected to be present in iPad Pro 2.

Since no major revamped is highly anticipated, iPad Pro 2 is said to be announced in a small-scale event during the Apple press release. There is no definite schedule for the said activity yet but report suggests that it could fall sometime next week.

Apple Reportedly Considers Product Redesign

Netizens have reportedly reacted to the minor upgrades for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 and even ended up calling it "non-sense" in every community forums. For this reason, Apple is reportedly considering a major product redesign to incorporate high-performing specs.

However, this claim remains unverified since Apple has not released any official statement yet regarding the redesign. Aside from the few details about the new iPad Pro 2 processor, the device is reportedly hitting the shelves with an affordable price as it is considered as the low-cost among the three iPads, according to Droid Report.
