Tufts University Celebrity Surprise: Matt Damon Sneaks In To Hometown Gym For A Workout [VIDEO]
ByThe Great Wall star, Matt Damon, visited Tufts University's Medford/Somerville campus on Wednesday. The actor was there getting ready to work out at the gym.
Damon, 46, along with a friend headed to the Steve Tisch Sports and Fitness Center to lift light weight and work out on the StairMaster. Student Josh Morris, a senior at Tufts spotted Damon while he was working out. He couldn't pass up the opportunity to say hi and managed to sneak a quick selfie with Damon before he left.
The Steve Tisch Sports and Fitness Center opened in September 2012 and always had state-of-the-art equipment. This is just one of Tufts University Department of Athletics' excellent features and the facility is for the entire Tufts University community to use.
Gym memberships are open for students, staff, alumni and family. They even allow one guest per member, which probably explains how Damon got into the facility, as a guest.
Damon was wearing a New England Patriots hat and a gray Boston Red Sox T-shirt. He even posed for a photo with a few members of the Tufts University field hockey team. The team then posted the photo on their Facebook page saying that Damon wished the Jumbos best of luck for 2017.
It was announced that Damon would narrate the Boston Marathon documentary title "Boston," which also happens to be his hometown. He grew up across the river in the Central Square neighborhood of Cambridge according to People. The actor's brother, Kyle, and father, Kent, have each ran in the Boston Marathon four times.
