Apple Watch 3 is expected to debut sometime this year but as more details are popping out; fresh reports are pointing at a Watch 2 refresh.

Apple Watch 3 Release Date, Update

Apple smartwatch biggest rumor has been the change on its display. Reports claim that Apple will use a new touchscreen, a glass film laminated on top of the screen to avoid scratches. The new technology, Micro LED Display is said to significantly contribute to the watch's display resolutions and brightness. It also helps Apple to design an exceptionally thinner watch.

Various reports hint that Apple Watch 3 might get a round model but this is purely speculation as Apple could highly likely to retain the watch signature design.

Many are expecting Apple to release Watch 3 this year but MacWorld has a different guess. The media outlet reported that Apple Watch 3 could be launched in 2018 as fans don't usually make an annual purchase. Furthermore, MacRumors reported that the wearable will enter mass production later this year, thus, a 2018 debut makes more sense.

Specs-wise, the 3D Touch is expected to improve the watch's functionality. Other improvements include better performance and battery life, plausible with a Wireless charging feature.

Apple Watch 2S Release Date, Update

If rumor of Apple unveiling Watch 3 in 2018 is to be believed, loyalists can expect a smartwatch refresh coming as soon as April. According to PC Advisor, Apple Watch 2S could arrive with bigger storage up to 4 gigs with a release expected in March.

This means that Apple will launch its S series watch alongside iPad Pro 2. The tablet is getting all of the hype ever since analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that there will be a 10.5-inch almost bezel-less iPad tablet debut. 9to5Mac has learned that Apple will hold the event on April 4 at Steve Jobs Theater.
