iPad Pro 2 is coming soon. Recent report suggests that the new tablet models will replace iPad Mini and Air variants. Digging through the details, here's what we know so far!
The 10.5-inch iPad will likely be the star of the show as it is not a refreshed product, but a brand new member in the tablet family.
The 10.5-inch model is reportedly designed with edgeless display. It's uncertain why Apple differentiates the product design but fans assume that it will be an exclusive iPad. To corroborate the assumption, it comes back to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, when he said that the new iPad Pro will aim at educational segment.
While it is yet to be confirmed, a recent listing from Spain-based distributor gave a detail on the 10.5-inch iPad case, according to AppleInsider.
Apple's April 4 Event
The distributor's product seems to corroborate the latest information that suggests Apple will ship the three iPad Pro 2 models on April 4. The claim came fresh from the oven as published on AppleWorld. The new schedule is a push back from supposedly March release date.
Furthering the detail, the report goes on to say that Apple event will take place at Steve Jobs Theater as Apple Park will be opened next month.
Good news is the iPad Pro 2 will be available for purchase on the same day it launches. The bad news would be the possibility of Apple ditching iPad Air 2. Rumor has it that the 9.7-inch iPad will be a low-end tablet that will replace the Air model. Apple will equip the tablet with A9x chipset to cater budget consumers.
The same thing goes with iPad Mini 4. Ever since Kuo made statements about iPad Pro2, there is no further detail or leak to indicate that iPad Mini will appear this year. In fact, reports are pointing at the discontinuation of the smallest iPad model.
