After Huawei unveiled the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event, the Chinese telecommunications company continues to provide timely updates on their handsets. The Huawei P9 and P9 plus Android smartphones will finally have the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update. Meanwhile, LG plans to offer the Android 7.0 Nougat update to LG V10 in the second half of 2017 and for the LG G4 in the third quarter.

Huawei made it known that they would begin the global rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 to the Huawei P9 in the first quarter of 2017. While the European Huawei P9 Plus owners will be delighted to hear that the latest OS update is now available in Europe. Nonetheless, the Android 7.0 Nougat update has been spotted in Romania and Germany. The availability of the OS update should expand to other parts of the continent soon, according to The Android Soul.

The European Huawei P9 Plus owners who have reported receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update claimed that their devices were not enrolled in the Nougat beta program of Huawei. In spite of that, the Android 7.0 Nougat update that's now firing up to those handsets has build number VIE-L09C432B360 of the single-SIM variant. As the Chinese telecommunications company hasn't made a formal announcement about the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update, it's unclear if the Nougat update will also be launched to the dual-SIM model.

On the other hand, LG is gearing up to update two of its handset models, the LG G4 and the LG V10. The South Korean tech company will launch the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its LG G4 and the LG V10. The LG V10 will receive the update in the second half of this year, while the Nougat update rolls out to LG G4 in Q3 2017, Yonhap News reported.
