Nexus 6P, Huawei P8 Lite To Receive March 2017 Android Security Patch; Moto G4, G4 Plus Android 7.0 Nougat Update [VIDEO]
ByVodafone would start launching the latest Android security patch to the Google Nexus 6P on March 7. The Huawei P8 Lite will also get a treat from the March 2017 Android Security Patch. Nonetheless, the United States users of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
The British multinational telecommunications company Vodafone, will launch the Android security patch for Google Nexus 6P smartphones in three phases. The first phase would select randomly a 10,000 Nexus 6P until March 10, according to GSM Arena. Then the remaining 10 percent of the devices would receive the March 2017 Android security patch the next 10 days, and then followed by remaining Nexus 6P smartphones. Also, other devices that Google handles directly would receive the March 2017 Android security patch.
Meanwhile, the Huawei P8 Lite, the Android smartphone that was launched in May 2015, starts receiving Android security patch for March. The March 2017 Android security patch for the Huawei P8 Lite Android smartphone comes with the software build number B594. Nevertheless, if the Huawei P8 Lite users noticed the update notification is not popping up on their smartphone, the Huawei P8 Lite user must check the update manually by going through the phone's settings, Go Android reported.
On the other hand, it has been two months since the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphone users in India received the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Now, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus United States users are getting a taste of the Android 7.0 Nougat. Nonetheless, the update comes along with the December 2016 Android security patch.
Motorola kicked off an Android 7.0 Nougat soak test for the Motorola smartphones, which means the Android 7.0 Nougat nationwide update will be launched soon, according to Republic Wireless. The official support page of Motorola for the update shows that the telecommunications company will bring some exact additions just for the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus handsets.
