For more than two years ago, Apple released the iPad Mini 4 with upgraded specs, features and design. Now the long rumored iPad Pro Mini is said to be the long overdue iPad Mini 5 which is reportedly heading a separate launching this coming September.

Last 2016, rumors suggest that Apple has decided to discontinue the iPad Air and iPad Mini lineup to introduce their new lineup of tablets. And it seems like the rumors from last year has been slowly turning into reality this year as various tech analysts predict that the Cupertino-based giant might release different models of iPad Pro.

This year's iPad Pro lineup will come in three sizes which includes the 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch where the middle size is said to be the iPad Pro Mini. The width of the 10.5-inch model is reportedly matching with iPad Mini screen and it also have the same resolution; thus, it supports the claim that it is indeed the long overdue iPad Mini 5, Mac Rumors reported.

iPad Pro Mini or iPad Mini 5 Features and Specs

Since there's not much further information revealed about the iPad Pro Mini or iPad Mini 5, fans have come up with a list of features and specs they wish to see in the tablet. According to MacWorld, the tablet should run an A9 processor for speed bump and enhanced graphics, choices of 32GB up to 128GB for internal storage and an 8MP rear camera with 1.2MP selfie-snapper.

For the new features, iPad Pro Mini or iPad Mini 5 is expected to feature the 3D touch, waterproof and dust-resistant and runs iOS 10. In addition, the tablet is also expected to come with major design changes such as thinner body, 7000-series aluminum chassis for durability, flexible and foldable display for convenience and Smart Connectors that serves as data and power ports.

iPad Pro Mini or iPad Mini 5 is expected to have its separate launching date on September as iPad Mini 4 was also released on the same month in 2015. Meanwhile, fans are advised to wait for the formal announcement from Apple regarding the matter but it is likely to hit the store shelves in the third quarter of 2017.
