In early 2016, Apple is rumored to have decided to kill-off the Air lineup in preparation for the upcoming iPad Pro 2 which is said to replace the MacBook Air. However, early this year, rumors about the brand discontinuation seem to be refuted because there are valid reports that claim the existence of blogger's favorite Apple netbook.

The speculation about the new MacBook Pro 2017 sparks when Apple decided to do some overhaul to MacBook Pro with an added Touch Bar. For this matter, Apple has reportedly implied that MacBook Pro without Touch Bar is the replacement of MacBook Air, according to 9 to 5 Mac.

Since then, various rumors about the new features and specs of new MacBook Air 2017 have started to surface the internet. MacWorld reported that the device will be powered by both Intel Kaby Lake chipsets and ARM-based chips in which traces have been found in the Kernel of macOS Sierra that says "ARM HURRICANE".

Furthermore, Apple is also said to add new battery features to MacBook Air 2017 such as chassis and cooling modules. And what's more interesting about the new device is the possibility of sporting USB Type-C with integrated Thunderbolt 3, Display Port 1.2 and USB 3.1.

In addition, MacBook Air 2017 is anticipated to come in two sizes: 13-inch and 15-inch both an addition to the MacBook size range. For this reason, two ranges of Mac laptops are expected and they are the ultraportable and advanced.
