"Sons of Anarchy" spinoff, "Mayans MC" found its lead actor. JD Pardo takes the baton from Charlie Hunnam as the newest central focus of the motorcycle club.

'Mayans MC' Lead Actor, JD Pardo

According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, "Mayans MC" found its lead actor, JD Pardo. He will join the other cast such as Clayton Cardenas and Edward James Olmos. The latter, Olmos, will portray the father of Pardo's character. John Ortiz is also added to the cast as Esai "Tanio" Osorio.

"Mayans MC" is the spin-off project of "Sons of Anarchy". Charlie Hunnam leads the said former show. Now, it is Pardo's time to shine as he will be part of the Hunnam's opponent team.

The spin-off story will revolve around the said group. It centers on EZ Reyes, Pardo's character. As per the official character/synopsis of the story, "he is the prospect in the Mayan MC".

EZ "struggles with his desire for vengeance against the cartel as well as his need for respect from the women he loves."

"Mayans MC" is in the same world, the same pace with "Sons of Anarchy".

As for the other details about "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff, Kurt Sutter co-writes the pilot episode with Elgin James who also directs the show.

Sutter notes that "Mayans MC" "tone, pace, and storytelling will be unique" than "Sons of Anarchy".

Based on Deadline, Pardo is well-known for his role in "East Los Angeles", Jesus. The show is an Emmy-nominated original series. Moreover, he also stars in "Revolution" as Jason Neville and in "The Messenger" as Raul Garcia.

For some moviegoers, his face might be a little familiar as he also appeared in "Snitch" and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2".

He is born as Jorge Daniel "J.D." Pardo. He is born in Panorama City, California.
