'The Originals' Season 4 Spoilers Pay Tribute To The LGBT Community; Klaus Freed On One Condition
By"The Originals" will introduce another LGBT character in Season 4. Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), meanwhile, may free Klaus (Joseph Morgan) under one specific circumstance.
New Orleans will welcome Keelin (Christina Moses), described as "an openly bisexual ER doctor and the last living werewolf of her line," in the upcoming season, Entertainment Weekly reported. This isn't the first time the spinoff series introduced a homosexual character; the first one was the gay vampire Josh (Stephen Krueger) in Season 1.
Josh had a relationship with the werewolf Aiden (Colin Woodell). The romance came with hurdles due to the duo's conflicting natures, with co-executive producer Michael Narducci likening them to "Romeo and Juliet" and the "West Side Story" back then.
The CW released a series of photos from Season 4's premiere titled "Gather Up the Killers." The images showed Keelin in a serious conversation with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin). Another snapshot showed Marcel and Klaus locked in a heated stare, with the latter looking ragged and in chains. Check out the photos below.
Season 4's early episodes will center on Hayley as she searches for a way to save the Mikaelsons. Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) are "sleeping" in Freya's (Riley Voelkel) dream world, while Rebecka (Claire Holt) was turned into a ripper.
The official synopsis for episode one revealed that Hayley is closing in "on the cure that will allow her to revive Elijah" and his siblings. It looks like Elijah is the first one who will wake from his slumber, but Hayley's quest is no small feat because she will have to face "a final task that will force her to make a ruthless decision," TVLine reported.
Marcel, on the other hand, is having the time of his life ruling New Orleans now that Klaus has been in shackles for five years. Marcel greets the un-sired vampires to the city, but an expected threat will threaten to topple his rule and he must "seek counsel from an unlikely source." There are theories that the unexpected source is Klaus, and Marcel might offer him freedom in exchange for his services in eliminating the threat.
Some fans are hoping for a Klaroline -- Klaus and Caroline (Candice Accola) -- reunion on "The Originals." Showrunner Julie Plec hinted on Twitter that a major character will die in the last episode of "The Vampire Diaries."
Some speculated that Stefan (Paul Wesley) will die, leaving Caroline without a romantic partner but with a possible future with Klaus. "The Originals" airs its fourth season on Friday, March 17 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
