EP Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa Teases Zombie Theme in Riverdale
According to Comicbook, "Riverdale" executive producer and creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa seemingly hints what fans might see in the future episodes of The CW teen drama series.
In Sacasa's previous interview with Nerdist in New York Comic-Con, the latter reveals how Riverdale's tone connects to "Afterlife with Archie".
"If you took Afterlife with Archie and subtracted the zombies and subtracted the HP Lovecraft that is sort of what the tone of Riverdale is," says the comic book writer.
He further describes, "it is a little subversive"; darker and deeper. Adding on, it is also emotional in some way but still got a humor in the story.
With this connection, fans have been wondering if, in the future, they would see Jason Blossom as a zombie besides the whole mystery that revolves around "Riverdale" is about his death.
Adding on, though there has been no confirmation about this, one clue that makes fans more convinced is when an image of Jason surfaced on Archie Comics social media accounts. Not to mention, aside from it is an official account, the post also has a caption that says "Afterlife".
On the other hand, one character connected to Jason Blossom, Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch), speaks out about their family background.
Petsch explains where Cheryl's madness is coming from. The actress reveals that she refuses to portray her villainous character without even knowing the reason behind "why she was the way she was".
