After years of being neglected, the tech company's all-in-one desktop series needs a significant update to remain competitive, especially with the arrival of powerful rivals like Microsoft's Surface Studio. Fortunately, the most awaited iMac 2017 desktop is slated to roll out next month, and the device is said to be powered by Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake processors.

Rumors about the 2017 iMac have been mounting up on the internet for a while now, with numerous rumors pointing to the emergence of a powerful all-in-one desktop that will provide the market's most formidable devices with ample competition. With the release of the all-in-one desktop, the Cupertino based tech giant appears to be aiming for dominance in the desktop universe.

Nonetheless, while nothing has been confirmed by the tech company yet with regard to the iMac 2017, Tim Cook has already pitched in the firm's commitment to the device last year. In spite of that, as the iMac 2017 is said to come along with an Intel Kaby Lake processor, the powerful all-in-one desktop is expected to turn Apple CEO's words into reality. According to Macworld, the Intel Kaby Lake processor in the iMac 2017 should add support to Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 and DisplayPort 1.

As for the iMac 2017 release date, the tech giant did not announce the roll out of the device, but rumors are rife that Apple's powerful desktop would be unveiled sometime during Spring 2017. Apple would most likely release the latest iMac around March 2017, PC Advisor reported.

As for the iMac 2017 price, the 27in iMac 2017 that comes along with a 32GB of RAM and a 2TB Fusion Drive is speculated to cost about $3,199.99. The expected price appears to be slightly higher compared to the current 27in iMac.
