Samsung Galaxy X Specs
Samsung has reportedly working on a project called "Project Valley" which aims to produce a foldable smartphone called Samsung Galaxy X. According to PC Advisor, arriving to such kind of a phone is entirely possible using the bendable OLED panel and not the flexible one feature in Samsung Galaxy S7 phone.
Samsung Galaxy X is presumed to showcase a physical feature similar to a clamshell phone in the early 2000's. The phone is rumored to have a 5-inch screen when folded in and 8-inch when folded out but contradictions suggests that the South Korean tech firm decided to cut it down to 7-inch.
Moreover, Samsung Galaxy X is said to sport a 4K display with 3840 x 2160 pixels for screen resolution provided that high-resolution remains when the phone is folded. The phone could also feature a dual-camera, microSD card slot and a non-removable battery.
In addition, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile chipset is expected to be found at the heart of Samsung Galaxy X. However, no further details have been revealed about the mobile operating system, memory and internal storage capacity but rumors suggest that the phone is likely to run Android Nougat.
Samsung Galaxy X Release Date
Factors such as marketability, profitability and political issues are said to be the cause of the delay of the release of Samsung Galaxy X. However, despite of it, the South Korean tech firm has already decided to unveil the phone in the third quarter of 2017 at IFA in Berlin according to Korean Herald as reported by The Indian Express.
More than 100,000 units of Samsung Galaxy X are expected to be shipped in the third quarter and small scale production of the phone will take place in the fourth quarter.
