Since Christmas last year, Microsoft has been vigorously pushing their Surface devices. Until now, a massive Surface Pro and Surface book variants are once again on sale. This could indicate the imminent release of Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Microsoft is now having one of its biggest sales ever, which could nearly match its lowest-ever holiday prices. Interestingly, the entry-level Surface Book is now up for grabs for only $1,299. This is a $200 price off and nearly matches the tech giant's 2016 holiday sale, according to Thurrott.

Other Surface devices are also on sale until Feb. 25, which the deal covers the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Books devices. Based on the listing from the Redmond-based tech company's online store, the Surface Book packed with Intel Core i5, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at $1,649, which is a $250 cutoff. While the Surface Pro 4 with Intel Core m3, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is now available at $699, a $200 discount.

In spite of that, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is slated to roll out in spring 2017. Microsoft's upcoming device may be launched with full support for the Microsoft Surface Dial. The Surface Dial feature was initially revealed with Microsoft's all-in-one computer, Microsoft Surface Studio, Market Exclusive reported.

Nonetheless, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to come along with the latest generation Intel Kaby Lake processors, coupled with 16GB of RAM. These specs should give Microsoft's tablet laptop a boost in both battery life and performance.

With the Intel Kaby Lake processors, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is anticipated to exceed the latest Apple MacBook Pro in terms of performance. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also expected to have a 4K display.

Nevertheless, Microsoft has yet to unveil the official price, specs, and overall appeal of the Surface Pro 5.
