EVO 2017 Player's Choice for Make-A-Wish Foundation's charity campaign has been announced. The winner was "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" which raised $71,690 in donations from 1,487 donors.

"Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" was in the race against eight other contenders for the final slot which included: "Pokken Tournament," "Killer Instinct," "Arms," "Windjammers," "Skullgirls," "Mortal Kombat XL," "Super Street Fighter II Turbo," and "Nidhogg."

The entry of "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" completes the official line-up for EVO 2017 which include: "Street Fighter V," "Tekken 7," "Super Smash Bros for Wii U," "Super Smash Bros Melee," "Injustice 2," "Blazblue: Central Fiction," "Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2," and "King of Fighters XIV."

According to Siliconera, fans have to vote for the game, which would make to this year's roster in the EVO 2017 final slot through donations. "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" was in a close race against "Pokkén Tournament" finishing second place garnering $62,431 in donations.

Although "Pokkén Tournament" failed to make it to the top, EVO made a decision and announced on Twitter to support the game, nonetheless, and committing $10,000 for Pokkén events in 2017 for its incredible effort. The Pokkén community was ecstatic for the support EVO has given.

The results are still unofficial, since donations still have to be officially tallied. It could still be possible for Pokkén Tournament to inch its way in if donations for "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" do not clear.

EVO 2017 returns to the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada this year from July 14-16.

Meanwhile, "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" is coming to the Xbox One and Windows PC via Steam on March 17. The game was re-released last December to the PS4. Additionally, the game is now available for digital preorder and predownload, according to MSPoweruser.

"Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" new limited edition version now plays in 1080p, 60fps, and purchase includes an updated cover art, an exclusive comic, plus all DLC content. Digital copy of the game will cost $25 while the limited edition boxed copy will cost $30. "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" is also available for the PSVita and PS3.
