Android 7.0 Nougat for Huawei Honor 6X and Huawei Nova Plus
Huawei Pakistan has confirmed through Twitter that Honor 6X and Nova Plus handsets will start receiving Android 7.0 Nougat beta starting next month. According to Tech Juice, the users must need to sign-up with Huawei Friendly User Trial campaign in order to get the trial version of the software and the final update will follows afterwards.
Users of Honor 6X and Nova Plus have the chance to experience, explore and provide feedback should they have found some bugs in the EMUI 5.0 version. Since the update is still in the preview stage, missing features and bugs are heavily anticipated.
However, in another report, the Android 7.0 Nougat that will be rolled out in March for Huawei Honor 6X is said to be for review and testing. For this reason, the company is presumed to be sticking with second quarter for the official release of the mobile operating system.
Huawei P9, P9 Plus and Mate 8 are also included in the list of eligible devices to receive Nougat update. Custom features such as app lock, new power save scheme and app prioritization are expected to come along with the update.
Huawei P10 Will Run Android 7.0 Nougat Out-of-the-Box
Just weeks ahead of its rumored launching in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain, leaked images of Huawei P10 that runs Android 7.0 Nougat are surfacing online. According to Express, the alleged Nougat-powered device will sport the following specs: HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card and powered by 3100 mAh battery.
