Motorola previously announced that the Nougat update for Moto Z Play would roll out in January. However, it seems that the update has experienced a delay for an undisclosed reason.

Android Nougat for Moto Z Play Germany Delayed

Motorola Germany took Twitter to announce the delay to Moto Z Play users. Android Headlines reported that the representative refused to unveil the reason behind it postponing the latest firmware rollout.

However, Motorola promises a new schedule for the update - stating that Moto Z Play will begin receiving Nougat sometime in March.

Just about last month that consumers praised Motorola for its quick launch of Nougat-treat fiesta but after taking too long to wait, users seem to lose their patience.

Another tweet from the official Moto also announced Android Nougat delay for Moto X. The update is expected in May according to Moto Germany.

Android Nougat for Moto E3 Power

This is disappointing news for the users as they had expected for the firmware update. Phone Arena has learned that Motorola doesn't include Moto E3 and E3 Power in the list of handsets getting the latest Android software - but there isn't actually any official statement that says it won't rollout the firmware.

This means that for now, both Moto E3 and E3 Power handsets, are running on Android Marshmallow.

Other Moto Handsets Confirmed to Receive Nougat Update

Motorola has listed a few devices that will be tasting the Nougat. Moto X Pure Edition and other Moto X series are included along with Droid Max 2 and Droid Turbo 2.
