The iOS version of the companion app for Google Glass launched earlier this week, but was pulled from the App store shortly after. It appears issues with the support app for the ground-breaking device has been resolved as it is now available for download.

"MyGlass" for app iOS, which is used to configure and manage Google Glass, lets users screencast their field of view, get directions, manage contacts and add new Glassware apps, TechCrunch reported.

The app was also designed to increase compatibility between Google Glass and iOS devices.

Prior to the release of MyGlass, Google Glass had "limited functionality." They were able to pair the device with an iPhone and use it, but it didn't have the advanced functionality available to Android users as they have long had access to an Android version of the Google Glass companion app.

The app was pulled from iTunes when it debuted ahead of "official support being built into Glass itself," TechCrunch reported. The app got an update for its firmware, XE 12, after it was pulled "which made everything work smoothly."

MyGlass will run on any iOS device running iOS 7 or later, although Google says it's optimized for the iPhone 5.

Google Glass can be purchased via invitation from Google for $1500. MyGlass for iOS can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
