BioWare Is Gearing Up To Launch Its New Action-Adventure Game In 2018, Action Game That Disrupts The Genre [VIDEO]
ByDuring Electronic Arts's earnings report, CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that BioWare (one of EA's subsidiaries) is working on an action-adventure game that will launch on March 2018. Although the BioWare's upcoming video game isn't an RPG, EA CEO assured game enthusiasts that they can expect what the video game developer is known for, the great RPG character development as well as story progression.
As Electronic Arts held a conference call to report the company's third quarter fiscal results, the event also mentions the currently unannounced BioWare project that the video game company is focusing at the moment. EA CEO Wilson claimed that the upcoming game of BioWare is an action game that will interfere with the genre.
Wilson stated that the upcoming video game has the potential to fundamentally disrupt the way gamers think about an action game, as the upcoming video game of BioWare will gather friends together to play in an exhilarating, unorthodox kind of gaming. Wilson also said that the video game company is very excited to launch the new franchise's ability in order to attract a global audience, according to Game Zone.
BioWare's vice president Aaryn Flynn also shared a bit more about the video game company's upcoming game. Flynn said on BioWare's blog that since 2012 they have started crafting a new universe that is filled with new characters, stories, and gameplay. Flynn added that there's much more to say in the coming months, but there's nothing quite as exciting as creating a new IP from scratch, and it will be even more thrilling for the company to share more with gamers in the future.
That being said, BioWare's vice president promised more details on BioWare's upcoming game in the next few months. Right now, the focal point of BioWare's development team is on the upcoming action role-playing third-person shooter game, "Mass Effect: Andromeda," wherein the game is slated to launch on March 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
