Surface Phone News, Updates, Release Date
Reports hint at all-metal, three Surface Phone models. The low-tier smartphone will sport 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB native space whilst the premium variant will pack 6 GB of RAM and a massive 128 GB on the internal storage.
It is no longer news that Microsoft is crafting its smartphone to meet today's demands - including a performance on par with PC. 1RedDrop has made a summary on the rumored specs - stating that the Redmond giant will bring Windows 10 desktop experience to the handset.
The device is said to pack a Snapdragon 835 chipset. This particular processor is reportedly the reason behind the delay as Qualcomm unveiled the newest SoC just recently.
Recent reports have even hinted a foldable Surface Phone due to a patent filing from Microsoft that describes a flexible screen concept.
The Surface Phone will likely be released in Q4 2017 along with a few updates coming to Windows 10, according to Forbes.
Surface Pro 5 News, Updates, Release Date
As the Kaby Lake is available, there are numbers of advantage that the processing chip could bring to the Surface Pro 5. Aside from the obvious performance increase, the machine architecture will improve the battery life of the hybrid tablet.
The upcoming 2-in-1 tablet is also said to sport a 4K display and an upgraded Surface Pen stylus with wireless charging feature. However, the 4K display will not be a base model as Microsoft could likely offer 2K as the standard.
From the past experience, Microsoft launched Surface Pro 4 in October 2015, PC Advisor has learned. If the speculations on release date are anything to go by, the tech crowds can expect an intro to Surface Pro 5 in Q4 2017.
