Filming for "Poldark" Season 3 is currently underway just in time for a spring 2017 release. Lead star Aidan Turner has been spotted filming scenes as Captain Ross Poldark at The Vale of Glamorgan in Wales.

Turner was photographed alongside other "Poldark" cast members while shooting scenes at a coastal village in The Vale. The actor was donning a black hat from the 18th century and wore a camouflaged coat in between takes to keep himself warm. Check out the photos from the set below.

"Poldark" Season 3 will feature new characters alongside Ross and Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson). New faces include Ellise Chappell as Elizabeth's (Heida Reed) cousin Morwenna, Josh Whitehouse as the attractive and romantic Hugh Armitage, Ciara Charteris as Emma Tregirls, Tom York and Harry Richardson. York and Richardson will portray Demelza's brothers -- the religious Sam and the carefree rogue Drake, respectively, The Week reported.

Drake will vie for Morwenna's attention, while Sam will strike up a romance with the gypsy Emma. Sean Gilder will also grace "Poldark" Season 3 as Tholly Tregirls, a "reckless womanizer" who used to be friends with Ross' father.

According to Radio Times, Tholly will be the main provider of comic relief in the upcoming season. "Poldark" Season 3 will showcase a new vicar named Osborne Whitworth (portrayed by Christian Brassington), an adulterous and sex-crazed man.

Romantic woes are expected on "Poldark" Season 3 between Ross, Demelza and Elizabeth. Season 2 ended with Elizabeth pregnant and there are suspicions that Ross is the father.

Demelza nearly left Ross due to his infidelity with his former fiancée Elizabeth, but the latter admitted his mistake and told Demelza that his love for her is "true, real and abiding." Ross also promised that nothing will come between him and Demelza again.

It seems like Ross' promises would turn to dust once more, though, now that he may be the father of the baby in Elizabeth's womb. Demelza won't take this kindly and there's a huge chance that she would turn Ross away. In this scenario, Ross and Elizabeth might end up together.

"Poldark," which is based on Winston Graham's novels of the same name, is expected to air its third season in the United Kingdom this spring. Viewers in the United States will get it later. Watch the teaser for "Poldark" Season 3 below.
