Snapchat, an image messaging and multimedia mobile app, is launching a major update to iOS users. The Snapchat iOS update is bringing the app more in line with the Android version, which was updated earlier in January.

The Snapchat iOS update is much easier to navigate, which means that more individuals can utilize the app, in spite of the fact that it has long been criticized for being hard to navigate, which limits its use to those who are used to the app. As the Snapchat app is a little harder to use, it gives an aura of being a secret group, which has helped make the Snapchat to be impressive. Nevertheless, it might not be so helpful for a company that is trying to increase its revenue and broaden its scope, according to Tech Crunch.

Nonetheless, as part of the Snapchat iOS update's new interface, users can take advantage of the latest search bar, which should help make it easier to find groups, friends, and even stories to follow. When a Snapchat user taps on the search box, the user will be greeted with a new overlay, which showcases friends' stories and snaps. The Snapchat user can now also hold on a friend's name to view a mini profile, and the user can tap on their Bitmoji to see their own profile.

The Snapchat iOS update is now easier to send snaps to Our Store, which is an app's story focused on big events and holidays. When Snapchat user will take a snap, the user can simply check a box labeled Our Story, which will give Snapchat permission to utilize the Snap.

That being said, in an effort to cut down on fake news and clickbait, Snapchat will start to restrict publishers from utilizing headlines or images that lack editorial value. Snapchat also plans to introduce tools to publishers which will help prevent minors from seeing unsuitable content on Discover, The New York Times reported.
