Android 7 Nougat Brings Tasty Features to Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge
The wait is over for the owners of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets since Samsung has officially rolled out Android 7 Nougat last week. According to The Verge, unlocked handsets in the US, UK, China and other countries have reportedly started receiving the software update beta testers over-the-air.
Accordingly, Samsung's dedication and Hardwork are evident in the features brought by Android 7 Nougat because the South Korean tech firm has reportedly did some tweaking on them. These features include the Quick Panel where the icons are grouped to make them easy to find, Direct Reply feature where the users can reply directly to the message without having to leave an app and multi-window supports such as split-screen view and pop-up window.
Furthermore, Samsung has also added Samsung Pass for website logins using fingerprints, Performance Mode for longer battery life and, Optimized Mode for the improvement of phone's stamina and Entertainment Mode for sound and image quality enhancement of favorite TV shows as movies. According to Engadget, Samsung is also looking forward to expand the services into mobile banking through applications.
Android 7 Nougat Update Schedule for Other Flagship Smartphones
Aside from Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the 2016 flagship smartphones of Samsung such as Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are also noted to receive the Android 7 Nougat update in the first half 2017. Other devices such as Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab A (S Pen support), Galaxy Tab S2, Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A8 are also expected to get the taste of Nougat this year based on Samsung's promise.
