Blizzard is brewing something for the upcoming seasonal event called Year of the Rooster that is about to kick off in January 24. According to Forbes, the game developer has reportedly revealed a Chinese New Year-inspired theme for the widely popular game "Overwatch" through a short teaser trailer posted in the official Twitter account of the game.

The fans have apparently become excited over the news most especially when short teaser trailer showed the Chinese hero Mei in a traditional suit that is presumed to be her new character skin for the event given that she is the only Chinese character in the game. Furthermore, Forbes also noted that Mei will have a little bit of transformation along with the new skin where she has the ability to throw flame and turning her opponent into black pillars of ash instead of freezing them.

On the other hand, another character named D.Va is also said to get a new skin as part of "Overwatch" Year of the Rooster event according to the Korean Twitter account of the game. Moreover, the seasonal event also aims to introduce two new gameplay modes such as Junkenstein's Revenge and Mei's Snowball Offensive, according to Polygon.

The seasonal activity is also expected to bring out new character skins for others, voice lines, sprays, emotes and other cosmetic items. As added by Polygon, "Overwatch" Year of the Rooster is also similar to the previous ones such as Winter Wonderland and Halloween Terror and Blizzard is reportedly going to continue with such craft for Valentine's Day with rumored Cupid Hanzo skin.
