"Girl Meets World" officially said goodbye from Disney Channel last week. Despite that, the show's creator is still pushing for a Season 4 renewal in other networks, though that is not going to be Netflix.

Netflix was "approached" for a "Girl Meets World" Season 4 renewal, but the popular streaming service "is not interested in picking up" the coming-of-age series, Deadline reported. Netflix was targeted for a "GirlMeetsNetflix" fan campaign due to the streaming service taking the "Full House" sequel, "Fuller House."

"Girl Meets World" fit the nostalgic bill that "Fuller House" has, but it now appears that Netflix isn't that keen to support the Disney show. Freeform, Disney Channel's sister network, is not onboard a "Girl Meets World" Season 4 either. Freeform also airs multi-camera sitcoms that target young audiences but their viewers are a bit older than Disney's.

The final episode of "Girl Meets World" Season 3 was written as a potential series finale. Topanga (Danielle Fishel) was grappling whether or not she should accept a job offer and move her family to London. The decision wasn't easy for her and she had to seek advice from Cory's (Ben Savage) whole family and some of their high school teachers.

In the end, Topanga declined the job. She said that she had always wanted a bay window but now, she chose to see the café as her bay window. All those goodbyes in the "Girl Meets World" Season 3 weren't for the characters; they were for the show's fans.

Needless to say, Riley (Rowan Blanchard) will still spend the upcoming years of her life with her pals. Her best friend, Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), has been legally adopted by Shawn (Rider Strong), which means that she now has a father figure.

"Girl Meets World" creator Michael Jacobs told Deadline that Topanga isn't "going to uproot her family for Trafalgar Square." The main point of the finale, however, was "that she found her own bay window right where she was."

Jacobs admitted that he was hoping for Disney to renew "Girl Meets World" for Season 4, but he also knew that the cast and "the natural stories to tell might have outgrown the venue." That was the reason why he wrote the Season 3 finale with closure, but he also ensured that the last episodes have "obvious space to keep going" in case the show gets picked up.

Jacobs said that he's trying to "find a home" for "Girl Meets World" and if he ever succeeds, he assured that it will serve as an "evolution" of the franchise and its characters.
