ZTE US has launched Nougat beta program for ZMax Pro while the Axon 7 already receives the treat.

Android Nougat update schedule for ZMax Pro

ZTE officially announced its Nougat beta program for ZMax Pro handset. Users who want to participate in the testing should register in Z-Community.

A few requirements for the beta testers include capturing logs and report bugs if there is any. There is a limited time to complete the tasks and users have also made to agree with the company's undisclosed terms, according to GSM Arena.

ZMax Pro is ZTE's budget smartphone with a decent hardware setup. It's got 6-inch display and Snapdragon 617 chipset to power the Marshmallow-based handset. The camera front offers 13 MP and 5 MP sensors. The device packs 3400 mAh battery and fingerprint sensor at the rear panel. Other components include USB type C port and Bluetooth v2.

The registration opens for United States consumers but not all of the applicants will be eligible for the Nougat beta program. However, this should be a good indicator that ZTE will roll out the latest firmware to ZMax Pro globally soon.

ZMax Pro users can sign up in ZTE USA to participate.

Android Nougat update rollouts to ZTE Axon 7

The same beta program registration was available for ZTE Axon 7 users and now the testers are able to taste the Nougat treat on their handsets.

The Nougat update for Axon 7 was announced in November by ZTE Germany according to Android Headlines, and the high-end device is now offering better value than before. With Snapdragon 820 and 4 GB RAM on board, the Nougat update just adds a bunch of useful features starting from multi-window screen and new notification orders with quick reply option.
