‘GTA 6’ Release Date, Gameplay, Latest News: ‘GTA 6’ To Feature Female Protagonist, Possible Major Change In Gameplay And Story [VIDEO]
ByRockstar Games' action-adventure video game series, "Grand Theft Auto," is arguably one of the biggest franchises in the gaming universe, and now, its fan base is already anticipating the sixth installment. Rumors are rife that "GTA 6" video game will feature a female protagonist.
Several reports claimed the possibility of a major change in the forthcoming video game's gameplay and story. It is being speculated that the video game company will feature a female character in the upcoming "GTA 6" storyline.
It can be recalled that the game publisher drew flak for how they portrayed female characters in "GTA 5." The report noted that putting a female character in the limelight for the upcoming video game might be one way for the game developer to rectify that issue. A female character in the main storyline of "GTA 6" could also open up new possibilities in terms of crafting the open world storyline for the game, according to PC Advisor.
On the contrary, other news opposes the speculation. Working on a female protagonist and placing the character in a whole new overseas location is unlikely to be in the pipeline of the video game company. It has been said that the focal point of the game developer is to improve the "GTA 6" video game to give it a full virtual reality support, N4BB reported.
Nevertheless, another possible change that could arrive in the gameplay of "GTA 6" is the inclusion of a first-person mode. Wherein, the game developer has released the video game in a third-person perspective in "GTA 3." But in the fifth installment, a first-person mode was added as an option for GTA gamers. With that, it is highly possible that the publisher is considering to make the first-person perspective the standard mode of gameplay for the upcoming franchise.
"GTA 6" is rumored to roll out sometime between 2018 and 2020.
