HTC Smartphone 2017 Lineup Release Date, Latest News: Codenames Leaked, HTC One X10 Smartphone Will Be Called HTC Alpine [VIDEO]
ByThe mobile phone network company, HTC, is gearing up to unleash three new devices in the coming months, the code names of the devices may have been leaked. The devices that are expected to release by HTC this first quarter of 2017 are the HTC One X10, HTC U Ultra and the HTC 11.
The HTC U Ultra will be under the moniker HTC Ocean Note. HTC U Ultra is the first device expected to roll out and this may happen on Jan. 12. As for the two other smartphones under the HTC banner, the HTC One X10 will be under the code name HTC Alpine, while the HTC 11 goes under the name HTC E66. The alleged code names of the devices were spread over Twitter by LlabTooFeR, according to TrendyTechz.
With the potential specs of the HTC U Ultra already mounted up the internet, the HTC One X10 or the HTC Alpine will allegedly come along with a 5.5-inch display and powered by a MediaTek MT6755 SoC Octa-core 1.9 GHz CPU, as well as the Mali T860 GPU. HTC One X10 will also have a 16.3 MP main camera and a 7.9 MP front-facing shooter.
Meanwhile, the HTC 11 or the HTC E66 will come with a similar 5.5-inch display and likely runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The rest of the HTC 11 specs are said to be along the lines of the 2017 flagship-type features, Phone Arena reported.
When the HTC 11 will hit the market, the smartphone is also thought to come along with a new design which will make the handset look unique. Some expected accessories of the device include a virtual reality (VR) headset and a wireless earphones.
Nevertheless, HTC is hoping to catch a break as the company tries to rebound from its poor performance.
