Xiaomi's successor to its marquee phone Mi 5 is facing difficulty in finding its launch date. Xiaomi Mi 6 is set to launch in China on Valentine's Day but has been reportedly pushed back due to low production of its key feature - the Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Release Date

An analyst from iSuppli claimed that the Mi 6 will be the first Chinese phone to arrive with new SoC, Indian Express reported. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has not confirmed the arrival of Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 SoC to the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6.

If this news turns out to be true, the low production rate of the Snapdragon 835 SoC will hardly affect the Mi 6's February timeline which could push the release date in late March or early April. Other reports claim that Mi 6 may be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 together with a mid-range phone Xiaomi Mi S.
