Apple is scheduled to start seeding its iOS 10.3 on Jan. 10. This information has been announced to Twitter by famed-Apple leaker Sonny Dickson in the early morning of Dec. 31.

According to Dickson, the said iOS 10.3 will include a new "Theater Mode" for the Apple devices and will sport a "popcorn-shaped" icon in the Control Center, MacRumor reported.

iOS 10.3's new Theater Mode could be Apple's the improved version of "Dark Mode" or could be something even better if these rumors are proven to be true. Dickson also agreed to this theory in an interview. If the iOS 10.3 rumor materializes, Jet Black and Matte Black iPhone owners will no longer need to get Jailbreak updates. Because their stock-up apps will now match their phones.

Meanwhile, Theater Mode could be a set of device settings suitable for use in a movie theater, Apple Insider suggested. The source even cited this example: Users might want to quickly disable system sounds and haptic feedback, block incoming calls and messages, and reduce initial screen brightness during a movie.

According to 9To5 Mac, they reached out to Dickson to clarify his tweets. He said that his source has been consistent on providing him good information in the past. He then dropped another spoiler, adding that the codename for iOS 10.3 is "Erie".

Since Sonny Dickson did not elaborate the details of iOS 10.3's new feature, expect for more theories and information connected to this report. Meanwhile, Dickson has occasionally offered accurate information regarding Apple's plans from supply chain contacts and other sources.

On other related news, Luca Todesco just released his iOS 10 Yalu Jailbreak. After this great year-end giveaway, Apple fans has another update to look forward to in the year 2017.
