In a new trailer unveiled by Arc System Works, "Double Dragon IV" has been confirmed to roll out on Jan. 30, 2017. WayForward Technologies' latest video game in the Double Dragon game series will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PC, which certainly hypes up game enthusiasts.

The trailer of "Double Dragon IV" video game shows a long montage that showcases how the original game worked, which could point to a possible graphical reboot for the entire video game series. Nonetheless, once the new gameplay footage of the "Double Dragon IV" kicks off, it looks straight up to the original NES classic, with its gameplay staying true to the game, according to Game Spot.

Certainly, the "Double Dragon IV" trailer pleases fans that thirst for the nostalgia of the original game. This is especially true to the Double Dragon gamers who are getting nostalgic from the rare NES Classic Edition, which includes the side-scrolling beat 'em game "Double Dragon II."

Nevertheless, the new game comes along with a few new extras. The primary story mode of "Double Dragon IV" is augmented by a 2 player duel mode, Japanese Mode, and a mode that is soon to be revealed. These are all found in the main menu of "Double Dragon IV."

In "Double Dragon IV's" most basic sense, the forthcoming game shows the same 80's visual style along with new elements. The main plot of "Double Dragon IV" follows after the events that led to the elimination of the Shadow Warriors in the second Double Dragon franchise, Gematsu reported.

In addition, Double Dragon fans can rest easy with the progression of "Double Dragon IV," as the staff developing the upcoming game include the original staff from the original arcade version of the game. This includes director Yoshihisa Kishimoto, producer Takaomi Kaneko, composer Kazunaka Yamane, programmer Kei Oyama and character designer Koji Ogata.
