Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, Moto Z Get Android Nougat Update

Lenovo-owned Motorola is quick in updating their selected devices to Android Nougat and Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are among the initial batch of handsets who get to taste Nougat first last October, according to BGR. However, in the case of Moto Z, the first handset running Android Nougat was reported from India where smartphone is seen compatible with Google's mobile virtual reality platform, Daydream.

While Moto G4 users are already enjoying the Nougat experience, Moto Z users have just started receiving notifications for OTA system update to upgrade their device into NPL28.85-15 version making it Daydream-ready. It can be recalled that Moto Z phones are the first modular phones of Motorola that get Moto Mods support.

Moto X Style Skipped Android 7.0 Nougat, Jumps off to Android 7.1.1

Moto X smartphones are ones considered as the most iconic Android brand up until today because of its optimized software that goes out from the unconventional. This is probably the reason why, Motorola is quick in releasing the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to Moto X Style variant.

Moto X Style or Moto X Pure Edition is reportedly spotted in an online benchmark site GFX Bench running the latest beta program of Android. According to Phone Arena, a similar case for Moto X Play is also reported few weeks ago, thus, made everyone concluded that the update for Moto X handsets is imminent.

Motorola has previously announced back in October the 15 selected devices to be upgraded to Android Nougat before December ends. The 15 mentioned devices includes the following: Google Nexus 6, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z, Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2, Moto X Force, Moto X Play, Moto X Style, Moto X Pure Edition (3G), Moto G Play (4G), Moto G Plus (4G) and Moto G (4G).
