OnePlus 2 Smartphone News: OnePlus 2 OTA Update Brings Oxygen OS 3.5.5 To The Device, Signal Drops Frequently [VIDEO]
ByThe Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus, rolled out an update to the OnePlus 2 smartphone for Oxygen OS, which brought the handset to Oxygen OS version 3.5.5. Unfortunately, a number of OnePlus 2 users are claiming that the update keeps dropping the network signal.
The community forum of OnePlus is currently getting swarmed with OnePlus 2 users saying the network frequently drops on the smartphone. The issue of the update is almost entirely reported by OnePlus 2 owners on the mobile network operator company Jio and Airtel networks in India, most of these owners are using both networks simultaneously since the smartphone is a dual SIM device.
Users using two SIMs at once have also been reporting the same network cut off on both SIMs. Enabling Wi-Fi with the same SIM sees no problems, nevertheless, once the OnePlus 2 smartphone user switches to mobile data, the network starts to drop intermittently.
In spite of that, the Oxygen OS developers launched this update to stretch out Alert Slider's functionality, and redesign the Volume Adjustment Bar which is now being claimed to be more intuitive. The OnePlus 2 update includes an integrated App Lock feature, Shelf optimizations and VoLTE support, according to Android Headlines.
The Clock application on the OnePlus 2 smartphone has been redesigned. The Oxygen OS version 3.5.5 update for OnePlus 2 also replaces Google's Calculator, Messages apps and Clock with stock OnePlus solutions. Nonetheless, the OnePlus 2 smartphone owners can still download the apps from the Google Play Store after updating to Oxygen OS version 3.5.5.
In addition, downloading the OxygenOS 3.5.5 for the OnePlus 2 will reset some settings on the person's handset, which include its name, battery indicator, and ringtones. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer notes that downgrading back to the OxygenOS 3.1.0 from OxygenOS 3.5.5 version is possible, but it may affect some core features of the OnePlus 2 smartphone.
