The possibility of Apple Inc. launching a 3rd iPhone model in 2017 has gotten stronger with more leaks are mounting up the internet. The unnamed iPhone is dubbed as Ferrari by the latest leaks about Apple's iPhone 8.

A user on the Chinese microblogging website, Sina Weibo, hinted on what's claimed to be two manufacturing documents for the upcoming iPhone 8. The leaked documents, which reportedly came from the supply chain of Apple, make reference to three models, the D20, D21, and D22.

According to Apple Insider, the Sina Weibo user claims that iPhone 7 and 7 Plus came with the name of D10 and D20. Nonetheless, it's still unclear why the Cupertino based tech monster would use the same on the iPhone 8.

The leaked documents contends the highest-end version of the upcoming iPhones is called Ferrari, with the D20 and D21 models offering only modest upgrades and could also be known as the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. This means the huge update of Apple for 2017 will come in the form of a Ferrari. The leaker claimed that the manufacturing specs suggest the iPhone Ferrari will come along with an OLED screen coupled with an edge-to-edge design, according to Tom's Guide.

Other high-end features planned for the iPhone Ferrari include an invisible home button and wireless charging. The invisible home button of the iPhone Ferrari will likely move to under the display. All of these features of the iPhone Ferrari have been floated in previous rumors of iPhone 8.

Furthermore, the tech company also wants a new internal design of the iPhone Ferrari smartphone that separates the logic board into separate units. Wherein one with the processor and storage, while the other with the cellular parts and Wi-Fi.

Apple hasn't commented on its future plans of the upcoming 2017 iPhones, and the tech giant won't even claim that another iPhone is coming in 2017.
