'Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress' Season 2: Tetsuro Araki Confirms Animated Production; Crunchyroll Announced Its First Anime Awards [VIDEO]

After the success of the intial premiere of the franchise, fans might be in for a treat since there have been reports that another season is in the works targeted to be released sometime in 2018. In other news, Crunchyroll has also announced its first Anime Awards for the year.
It was previously reported that a "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" Season 2 has been confirmed to be in the works, Univeristy Herald learned. The announcement for the upcoming season was made during the live-streaming of Fuji TV's Noitama Project Unveiling event.
It was further mentioned therein that that the team behind "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" Season 2 and its original television anime will be reunite Tetsuro Araki and Wit Studio, where the latter is known for producing the equally popular "Attack on Titan" series.
That being said, it was recently announced as well that the director for "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" Season 2, Tetsuro Araki, has clarified that upcoming season will be an animated production, Crunchyroll reported. Moreover, it was also also confirmed by the source that a premiere for the second season will premiere sometime in 2018.
The source also updated its fans by noting a new promo trailer for the upcoming "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" Season 2. It was also indicated in the video that the completion of the second season will be in 2018.
In other news, it was also reported that the acclaimed website for all thing anime and manga, called Crunchyroll, has announced the lists of nominees and the corresponding categories for its first ever Anime Awards, Market Wired learned.
It was stated therein that the ceremony will give out awards in 14 different categories, having all anime platforms nominated therein. Some of the categories are as follows: Hero of the Year, Villain of the Year, Best Couple, Best Fight Scene, and a lot more.
