The next couple months will have every Texas A&M fan hanging on every word out of Johnny Manziel's mouth, looking for any hint of his plans for the 2014-2015 football season. Will he stay or will he go?
With the Texas A&M Aggies (11) all but out of BCS National Championship contention, fans of the sport's most exciting player are turning their attention to the post-season, but so is "Johnny Football" Manziel.
"I want nothing more than to win these next two games and to get into a good bowl game and go 10-2," Manziel told ESPN. "I can't even put into words how bad I want that for seniors on this team and for this team in general."
He is also thinking a little bit about a second consecutive Heisman Trophy. Winning the award again would make him the second person ever to win the trophy twice, joining Archie Manning. He is not favored at the moment, with many experts favoring Florida State's Jameis Winston.
These next to games will be crucial for A&M's post-season, as they go on the road to face LSU (21) and Missouri (9). If Manziel can will his team to win both games and keep up his stellar stats, which are even better than last year, he will force voters to give him a fair chance at winning.
Also on Manziel's mind has got to be the NFL Draft. After this season, he will be eligible and could realistically be a first-round pick. Some scouts say he still has aspects of his game to work on, but there are NFL teams yearning for an exciting young quarterback to win games and put fans in the seats.
Still, it is very possible Manziel stays put for one more year. Saturday was Manziel's last home game of this season and fans let him know how they felt, chanting "one more year" over and over, while the Aggies' playmaker egged them on to make more noise.
The marching band got in on the action too, playing "Johnny Come Marching Home" on repeat. Manziel's buddies Nate Fitch and Steven Brant teased fans further on Twitter.
Fitch, Manziel's unofficial agent, said he was excited for next year, while Brant pointed out the BCS National Championship game would be held in Arlington next season.
Next season is also the start of the BCS tournament style championship, with the final game being held in A&M's backyard. At that point, the Aggies would only have to be one of four teams selected to compete for college football's top prize.
Imagine Johnny Manziel potentially competing for a third Heisman and a National Championship in the same year. A&M fans can see it, almost everyone else would like to see none of it and Johnny Manziel? His winter plans remain to be seen.
