AMD Vega Tech's secret preview transpired last Saturday, the details of the event were not specified. However, reports are claiming that the participants signed a non-disclosure agreement. The number of editors invited to the event was not mentioned, and no one can claim if it was a regional event.

It is possible that the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) intended the event to let the media witness the first graphic cards with AMD's VEGA graphics processor. The secret preview event of AMD Vega Tech could also be a preparation before they roll out the ZEN presentation to the public, according to Video Cardz.

The VEGA graphics processor, which is commonly known as Vega 10, was expected to debut before 2016 ends. The Vega 10 graphics processor features the brand new GCN graphics architecture of AMD, as well as its 9th generation collection of visual IP.

The Vega 10 graphics processor will double the memory capacity and offer better graphics. The Vega 10 graphics processor also comes along with a High Bandwidth Memory (HBM2) technology. The GPU will offer Virtual Reality, quality performance to 4K gaming, as well as other computing markets, WCCF Tech reported.

On the other hand, AMD is taking aim at Nvidia with its new Radeon Instinct chips, which repurpose the graphics chips of the company as a machine intelligence accelerator. The California-based tech company AMD is following its competitor into graphics processing unit accelerators for machine intelligence via a combination of both hardware and software. The new AI chips are based on the Polaris graphics architecture that AMD launched earlier this year, Venture Beat has learned.

Analyst at Tirias Research Kevin Krewell, stated that the Calififornia-based tech company had to get its graphics house in order, and now the company is going after AI. Meanwhile, CEO of AMD Lisa Su, said that they view graphics as very strategic over the next 5 to 10 years.
