Alec Baldwin's return on "Saturday Night Live (SNL)" might have been a ton of laughs for many of us but the actor said the election is no laughing matter. Guess who else is not laughing?

Donning a blond wig, the 58-year-old actor found a role he has found himself in since before the elections. He says that he is glad that people find his portrayal of the now president-elect Donald Trump funny, but he adds that he thinks people are also worried at the same time, according to Spanish-language magazine Hola!

Citing that both sides have been passionate about the elections that caused bad feelings on both sides, he says the chance for people to talk and have a good laugh is a good thing. Apparently, president-elect Trump is not amused one bit, and he took to Twitter to vent out his frustration.

Interestingly, Baldwin responded to the Tweet citing that one way to make America great again and to create jobs is to retrain Americans and put it back to work. He followed that by Tweeting the elections are over and there is no more equal time telling Trump to try and be president and if people respond, that's pretty much it.

Baldwin even had a tip for the president-elect saying he should be focused on improving American reputation abroad, including actually fighting for freedom and not just oil. In another Tweet, he said he could go on, saying if Trump wants further advice, to call him, he'll be on SNL.

Baldwin's return as Trump on SNL last Saturday poked fun the president-elect's non-stop Twitter activity, according to People. It seems that Baldwin's portrayal since before the election triggered a Twitter war between the would be POTUS and the actor portraying him in a satire. Trump said Baldwin's portrayal according to Trump is Totally biased, not funny, can't get any bad, and sad. Baldwin responded by Tweeting: "Release your tax returns and I'll stop. Ha."

Even with Baldwin's return, the actor doesn't expect to remain a regular feature on the show. Accordingly, he said he'll be doing it again this coming weekend, but not all that often, reported Vanity Fair.
